Vision for an enterprise portal

Starting in 2002, Sentara Healthcare began the process of consolidating content for its many web sites into a new content management system. Needing to distribute content management in a planned way, Sentara asked Dynamic Diagrams to help create an architecture for a single role-based portal into the new CMS.

We began by creating a visual framework of Sentara’s services, organization, and stakeholders. Once this framework was verified we explored how users might access and maintain content in the new system. In follow-up engagements, we developed the portal’s global information architecture and redesigned individual sites such as sentara.com.
